Abstract:Data envelopment analysis (DEA) is a data-oriented tool that were primarily used for measuring relative efficiency. DEA has been regarded as a non-parametric approach to estimating production functions where multiple inputs and multiple outputs are present. In recent years, DEA has been applied in general benchmarking settings where a set of performance metrics are used to construct a DEA-based benchmarking index. This talk introduces some DEA uses in the area of data mining where a large amount of data are available.
